Overdyed perlè and stranded cotton threads have been used too stitch a joyful mixture of flowers that included delphiniums, hollyhocks, roses, daisies, petunias plus a climbing rose and weeping wisteria. The back of the sheath is decorated with a floral monogram and the edge is finished with Palestrina stitch.
